Recognising our employees’ worth
We are a Recognised Service Provider proudly working with the Living Wage Foundation to promote the Real Living Wage (RLW). An independently calculated, voluntary rate of pay that is based on the cost of living, the RWL is higher than the government’s National Living and Minimum wage. Thousands of companies choose to pay these higher rates to their staff.
Prioritising wellbeing
We provide access to an online evidence-backed wellbeing solution. The platform enables employees to have on-demand mental health support through a variety of resources including video therapy, wellbeing courses, and guided meditations.

We embrace diversity and inclusion in our workplace, creating a welcoming and supportive environment for everyone. We are active participants in the Government’s Disability Confidence Scheme and are signatories of both the United Nations Women Empowerment Principles and the Armed Forces Covenant.

Giving back and making a difference
We believe in giving back to the communities we serve. We are committed to supporting local organisations and initiatives that make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Supporting education
We partner with Schoolreaders, a charity that provides one-to-one reading support to children in UK primary schools, taking part in their fundraising activities and making an annual donation.
Giving Back Scheme
At the start of a new contract, clients are given three options to enable Kindred to give back to the Community. These include Kindred donating to a local charity of their choosing, or making a donation to one of two charities we are actively supporting.
Helping people back to work
We are proud to work with the Shaw Trust in the recruitment of some of our employees. They are a national charity that helps people facing disadvantage, into work. Enabling them to gain skills and take control of their futures.
Engaging in local initiatives
We participate in and sponsor a variety of local events and initiatives, volunteering our time and resources to support our community.

Minimising our impact and promoting sustainability
We are committed to minimising our environmental impact and promoting sustainable practices throughout our business operations.
Our aim is to become a net zero organisation and we have outlined 2 key initiatives which are leading us towards that goal.
Organisational Carbon Emissions
Working with the neutral carbon zone (NCZ), Kindred has been awarded NCZ Silver certification. This means our emissions have been measured and all our currently unavoidable emissions have been verifiably offset.
Operational Carbon Emissions
We are implementing carbon-management programme to identify all our on-site service-related emissions. This will enable carbon management reporting on a client by client basis.

Paper Reduction
We are moving towards being a paperless business. Our customer and employee onboarding in addition to our quality audits are all now electronic processes for example.
Chemical Free Cleaning Methods
We are introducing the use of probiotic cleaning products which are made from 100% naturally derived ingredients.
Recycling non-operational machinery
This gets collected and broken down into its constituent parts. What can be reused is refurbished and the rest gets recycled.
Recycling old and damaged cleaning equipment
Old, broken, or otherwise discarded cleaning tools are saved from landfill and transformed into new ready-to-use product using SYR’s Switch Framework.
